BookCubes

Looking at the advancements in technology over the last few decades is astonishing! It’s no wonder now you can do everything on your computer or phone; watch TV, online shopping, talk to family and friends half way across the world and even read a book!

But what does that mean for a book – an actual object..? If we can all read books on our phones or laptops now, I wonder what will be occupying people’s shelves at home. Where there used to be typically bookshelves, soon may lye empty spaces, probably being filled with indoor plants and family photos.

BookCubes could revive books on a bookshelf. James Bridle did exactly this by using Bookleteer’s StoryCube API. He created a physical souvenir of an ebook. Take a closer look here.
